Help mail books to children The Aunt Mary's Storybook project brings into several Chicagoland county jails a selection of brand new books, along with audio recorders. Project volunteers assist participating prisoners in choosing an age-appropriate book for each of their children. Each of the participants are then given an opportunity to record him or herself reading the books for their children. On behalf of the incarcerated mother or father, our organization then sends the books and CDs to the children. We are looking for a few people located near the Kane County Jail to help burn the recordings on CDs and prepare the packages for mailing. We will provide you with all of the supplies. This is a volunteer position that can be done from home, although we will need to meet occasionally to provide you with the necessary supplies. Please contact us if you are interested.
