Help incarcerated people in Kane County read to their children The Aunt Mary's Storybook project brings into the Kane County Jail a selection of brand new books, along with audio recorders. They assist participating prisoners in choosing an age-appropriate book for each of their children. Each of the participants are then given an opportunity to record him or herself reading the books for their children. On behalf of the incarcerated mother or father, our organization then sends the books and CDs to the children. We are looking for three to four people, including one or two men, to go with us in to the Kane County Jail once a month to help incarcerated parents choose their books and to assist with the recording sessions.
