Who We Are

The Roosevelt-Aurora American Legion Post 84 was founded in 1919, and is one of the oldest posts in the State of Illinois.  Our name is in memory of Quentin Roosevelt, the youngest son of President Theodore Roosevelt, who was killed in WWI in aerial combat over France on Bastille Day (June 14, 1918).

What We Do

With over 300 members Roosevelt- Aurora Post 84 is organized to promote the highest standards of community support and participation.  Our members set the very foundation by which this goal can be reached, including but not limited to:
  • Fundraisers, Drives & Sponsorship
  • Parades:  Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veteran’s Day, etc.
  • Outings:  Golf, Sporting Events, Picnics, Competitions, Luncheons, Dinners, etc.
