Mission and Management
•Preserve the mission of the organization
•Select and manage staff
•Ensure the organization is well managed and that the board as a whole has the right skills and practices to do its job
Fundraising
•Raising revenue (minimum of $2,000 per board member): “give or get”
•Share relationships and networks
Fiscal Responsibility
•Budgeting and financial planning
•Make sure the playhouse is compliant with laws and regulations
Advocacy
•Represent the community to the Playhouse and the Playhouse to the community
•Protect the Playhouse from external threats
