Bike for the Kids is an event to support Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley. Participants can choose a distance, and celebrate at the finish line with refreshments and family-friendly entertainment. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Adapted bikes, trailers and wheels of all kinds are welcome!
We are looking for volunteers to assist us with tasks on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday September 8th.
On Saturday September 7th we are looking for teams of 3 or 4 people. This team will consist of a driver and 2 or 3 others to place route marking arrows and signs. The time has not been set for this activity- but is a 3-4 hour commitment. Volunteers must be 18+
On Sunday, September 8th we have many volunteer tasks open.
- Stock/set up Rest stops- 2 person crew. Meet at our Elgin Center pick up directions to rest stop, supplies, water, food, signage. Time: 6:30 am-9:00 am. Need two more crews .
- Assist with kids activities/games at Post ride party. Time: 11:30 am - 2:30pm
- Monitor Family Fun Ride - monitor number of laps participants complete in 30 minutes, make sure the participants stay on the course. Time 12:30 pm- 2:00 pm
- Parking - help direct participants where to park (at a nearby offsite location).
- Clean up rest stops & signs from course- Starting at the Elgin Center, Working in 2 person crews (1 driving and 1 picking up signs) also breaking down and cleaning up rest stops. Returning all materials to the Elgin Center. Start time 2:30pm
