Winnebago Community Market

Winnebago Community Market is a volunteer opportunity seeking individuals to assist with food distribution to those in need at Northern Illinois Food Bank's Northwest Center in Rockford. The distribution is set up like a food pantry. Volunteers will assist neighbors in need with their grocery needs, such as selecting food items, packing the items and/or carrying groceries to their car. In addition, the volunteers will be expected to assist Northern Illinois Food Bank with the setting up and cleaning up of the Winnebago Community Market. All volunteers interested must be able to lift at least 10 lbs. Any youth under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. There are both indoor and outdoor roles for the Market, so please dress for the weather (sun protection, cold weather layers, etc.).
