Tutors will agree to:
- I will implement GiGi’s curriculum as outlined in the GiGi’s Playhouse Curriculum Guide.
- I will watch the Tutor Training videos and attend the onsite workshop prior to working with my assigned student.
- I will attend onsite workshops prior to each session whenever possible.
- I will utilize the Progress Trackers to determine where to start teaching, plan lessons and track progress.
- I will plan 45-60 minute lessons based on student levels and interests
- I will ensure I have all the materials needed and look to my Playhouse Coordinator for additional help and resources.
- Realizing that learning takes daily practice, I will suggest activities for caregivers and students to work on at home.
- I understand how valuable tutoring sessions are and will notify my student’s family at least 24 hours in advance if I cannot make a lesson.
- I understand the expectation is to complete 10 lessons with each of my students.
- Refer to your Playhouse Policy regarding parent participation. Caregivers are highly encouraged to sit in on every lesson whenever possible and are expected to consult with tutor after each lesson.
- I will contact GiGi’s Playhouse with any questions or concerns.
