This position is a volunteer opportunity with cash value and is responsible for bringing Girl Scout programming to underserved girls who may be struggling academically through Project Opportunity in Aurora. There is a living allowance and Education Award associated with the status of your membership. AmeriCorps Members will deliver programming based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) in weekly, hour-long sessions. This programming will help girls develop a strong sense of self and improve academic attitudes. As a full-time member you will help identify additional populations of under served girls, identify partners and connect with them for collaborations and recruit new volunteers from local communities to help.
Full Time member works 30 - 40 hours per week and receives $963/month and an education award of up to $5775*
