The Warehouse Volunteer will provide assistance to clients in their food selection process in a variety of responsibilities and may serve in one of many positions such as warehouse greeter, aisle attendants, produce attendants, bakery attendants, meat attendants, and more.
We have 4 food distribution shifts each week. Every second and third Friday of the month we have mobiles. Scheduling is flexible to work once per week, once per month, one-time, etc.
Monday 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Thursday 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Friday Mobiles every 2nd and 3rd Friday of the month 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
New Volunteers:
In addition to signing up on this database, new volunteers need to contact Norma Fuentes, Volunteer Coordinator at nfuentes@foodforgreaterelgin.org to schedule a volunteer orientation. Your orientation can be scheduled on the same day you would like to volunteer.
