Cooking Caring Compassion Community
A Volunteer Client Care Liaison is a special FVFFH volunteer position creating a supportive relationship with the client and their family.
Providing personal weekly contact to ensure the healing meals meets the client’s needs.
The Client Care Liaison will maintain regular weekly personal contact with the Client Care Manager and Delivery Angel(s) to create a supportive team for the client and family.
Shares educational information with clients on the nutritional value and benefit of the FVFFH Healing Meals program and the foods/ingredients used each week. Provides active listening glad encouragement. FVFFH provides the educational materials and recipes. Patients and families receive three to four complete dinners, flavorful soups, a hearty salad and a healthy dessert. Clients are on our program for 8-12 weeks at a time with out charge.
Keeps clients aware of classes, such as “Caring Cooks” or other Fox Valley Food for Health learning opportunities, as well as available community resources.
As a Liaison you will be partnered with a Delivery Angel Volunteer to complete the supportive Client team.
A clinical background is preferred.
Illinois State Police background check and ServSafe Food Handlers course required.
