GFWC Woman's Club of Aurora is affiliated with the General Federation of Woman's Clubs. We are a group of women united by the common goal of community improvement through volunteer service. We're women of all ages with diverse backgrounds that have combined their talents and skills to make their community a better place while having fun and meeting new friends. This year we celebrated 128 years of service to Aurora and the surrounding communities. Among the many accomplishments of the Woman's Club of Aurora are the founding of the first kindergartens in the city, and the awarding of hundreds of scholarships for nursing, journalism, art, and academics.

What We Do
GFWC Woman's Club of Aurora is an organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. We offer our members a wide range of activities and projects for community service while providing them opportunities for education, personal development, enrichment, and social interaction. We support the needs of many organizations and fulfill a varied philanthropic budget. Annually we award student scholarships. Our club also supports a variety of programs such as the arts, education, conservation, home life, international outreach and public issues. While fulfilling our philanthropic endeavors many of our members become lifelong friends!
A few of this year's community service projects included: a collection of items for Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, a pinwheel garden for the Prevention of Child Abuse at Mutual Ground, bell ringing for Salvation Army, a baby shower for VNA Healthy Families, and a collection of gift cards for our Veterans.
The club holds a Luncheon followed by a General meeting the second Tuesday of each month at noon, September thru May, at Belle Salle Banquets, 1920 East New York Street Aurora IL. After each Luncheon, an interesting and educational Program is provided for our members. These Programs have featured local musicians, historians, presentations on travel destinations and many more!
We invite all women who reside in Aurora and the surrounding communities to join us and become part of a wonderful group of women!!
