Renz Center is an outpatient addiction counseling center that provides intensive outpatient, outpatient and early intervention services for adolescents and adults who are faced with consequences and difficulties due to alcohol misuse, other drug use, and/or problem gambling. Specialized women's treatment programming, through the Passage Program is offered to pregnant women, women with dependent children and other women who have experienced trauma and addiction related issues. Free onsite child care during counseling sessions is provided for our Passage Program clients. Services for those who have a drug and/or alcohol and a mental health condition or co-occurring disorder is provided including Psychiatric services. Renz Center also provides Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) utilizing specific medications that help with cravings and obtaining long term abstinence from alcohol and/or opioids and Postive Waves, using an Alpha-Stim device that helps individuals achieve recovery while reducing anxiety, depression, insomnia, and pain. An Opioid Overdose Prevention Program using Naloxone injections, and SMART Recovery, which is an alternative to 12 step meetings, are offered to anyone in the community, even those who are not currently in treatment. Renz Center provides affordable treatment, utilizes a sliding fee scale, accepts Medicaid, Medicare and Managed Medicaid Care coverage, and is in network with various insurance companies. No one is denied services for an inability to pay for services and comprehensive clinical assessments are free.
Renz Center also provides HIV prevention education services and youth development programs designed to prevent substance abuse and prepare youth for the future. Evidence based programs, Toward No Drug Abuse and Too Good For Drugs are utilized in Elgin area schools.
