Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry

The Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry has recently expanded to include client choice shopping for our hungry neighbors in need. We distribute 2 days a week. However, we are here all week picking up food rescue, receiving food donations, stocking our shelves, cleaning and organizing our facility.

Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry’s volunteers have the meaningful opportunity to flexibly work during food distribution shifts and delivery shifts. Both types of shifts are approximately 3 hours in length.

• A client-choice food distribution shift will involve assisting clients through the choice process and maintaining the warehouse as clients shop for their food.
• A delivery shift involves unloading, sorting, and placement of food resources in our warehouse and distribution area. Some light lifting is required.

Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry serves as a volunteer destination for individuals and young adults. In addition, we welcome corporate, religious, civic, school, and other groups to volunteer with us.

Our vision is to build a community without hunger and provide care for one another. The MWFP strives to offer food for the hungry and resources to empower persons to improve their quality of life.

The MWFP has been making a difference for families for over 50 years, being the pioneer food pantry in Aurora. We proudly follow our legendary founder ~ Marie Wilkinson ~ in never turning anyone away in need of food, without boundaries. We have an established partnership with a battered women’s shelter serving their clients a dedicated day weekly. Our pantry consistently distributes emergency food throughout the week.

We are located in the heart of Aurora and serve anyone in need of food. Our pantry is a client choice shopping where families can pick and choose the items they need to make nutritional meals.
