What We Do

United Way is a worldwide network that advances the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on the three key building blocks of education, income and health. The United Way movement creates lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of problems that prevent progress in these areas. Forbes magazine has recognized United Way as the largest charitable organization in the world. In the United States, United Way provides more funding for social services than any organization except the federal government. Each year, one out of every three people in the U.S. benefits from a United Way funded program

Fox Valley United Way is a founding partner of SPARK, the early learning initiative in Aurora and Volunteer Fox Valley, a virtual volunteer center co-sponsored by Aurora University. Fox Valley United Way is also the local sponsor of FamilyWize, a free drug prescription discount card, which can save individuals up to 75% on the cost of their medications.
